The signing ceremony of a MOU between Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital
(TMUCIH) and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) was held in Tianjin.

Observed by Prof. Chunshui Yu, Vice President of Tianjin Medical University, Prof.Webster
Cavenee, Elected Member of the National Academy of Sciences, Prof. Wei Zhang, Wake Forest
University and Prof. Qingyi Wei, Duke Cancer Institute, Prof. Ping Wang, the president of TMUCIH
and Prof. Michael Baumann, the president of DKFZ signed the Memorandum of Understanding between
both institutes. Both sides intend to combine forces and work together in selected areas of
cancer research and to foster joint education and training of young talent in cancer care and
research.
